In the early 90's I worked on a series of concrete sculptures where I played with merging geometric and organic forms. The first piece in the series was this sculpture titled "Dormant Seed". It starts with the geometric form dominating the organic. The organic barely visible trapped here within the geometric.

With each new sculpture the organic form grew towards reaching a balance point. "The Need and the Flow" shows the organic still straining and contained within the geometric form.

"Chrysalid" achieves near perfect balance. The two forms equally and harmoniously supporting each other.

The story unfolds with "The Pattern Seeker and the Flow". The organic begins to dominate, while the geometric struggles to maintain balance.
