There's always a collage of influences, conscious and unconscious, coming into play when you're working on something. "Take this Longing" was inspired in part by a Leonard Cohen song of the same name. If you'd like to read the lyrics to the song check out the link below.

Other influences include this newspaper image, a Kahlil Gibran drawing from his book "The Prophet" and a fossil site in Hawaii. I've also incorporated text from the bible and Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself".

It's hard to get a sense of scale so I've included this image.
