This piece is titled " Hand ". After reducing the human hand to a very primitve and graphic symbol, I went a step further. I simplified the design by focusing on our opposable thumbs. Even more specifically the moment when the thumb and forefinger come together to form a pincer-like shape. I saw this physical trait and the facility it afforded us as crucial in reshaping our planet. It gave us the capacity to invent and master tools, which was key to the development of civilization.
